GrootGroenPlus 2023: Library gives way to increased demand
This year marks a remarkable change at the international trade fair GrootGroenPlus, which is held on 4-6 October in Zundert. The enormous interest of participants has led to all available space being fully rented out, which means that there are no general spaces left. The waiting list is growing by the day, which indicates a huge interest in the green industry.
These developments also have an effect on the library we all know and love. It will not be present at the trade fair this year. However, our enthusiastic librarians Jan and Diny Voogd and Hans van Selm came up with an innovative solution. The library’s overstock will be offered for sale in the central restaurant at the trade fair location. Here, they will offer a varied selection of books, which are related to the green industry. Payment is only possible via pin.
To get visitors excited for this special opportunity, the librarians will share some book descriptions on multiple social media platforms prior to the trade fair. This will interested parties give a taste of the offer.
But that’s not all. The proceeds of this sale will go to a special cause. They will be donated to VPTZ (Vrijwilligers Palliatieve Terminale Zorg, volunteers in palliative terminal care) West-Brabant Tholen, where Jan Voogd has been working as a volunteer for years. The VPTZ is an ANBI certified organisation, which supports people who are terminally ill, and their loved ones. It does not matter what industry you are working in; anyone can encounter a terminal disease. It is nice to have support, when it does happen.
